We build our data architecture in a robust operational environment with scale and efficiency. Data is meaningful in a functional, discoverable, and accessible format to power GIC’s innovative investment strategies.

**Data Products**

You will be empowered to take a product-led approach to uplift GIC’s data capabilities. You will also have the opportunity to learn businesses’ data needs and work backwards to build, and manage enterprise-grade data products.

**What will you do as a S**VP Data Product Manager?**
- Define the product vision, drive the product strategy and roadmap for your data domain, in alignment with broader data strategies across GIC, to achieve business outcome while ensuring commercial viability of the product.
- Establish good understanding of investment asset class specific domain knowledge and business processes.
- Discover business needs of the various departments within GIC, prioritize and communicate the product roadmap to them.
- Build close relationship with the various business stakeholders, data and technology functions such as architecture, data governance, engineering etc to deliver the data products.
- Design, execute and optimize data strategy, products and solutions to deliver data as a service across the company.
- Drive synergy across the solutions for similar data needs from different business units.
- Influence and plan for product adoption, including change management where needed.
- Influence business processes and workflows so that they are aligned with data service strategy both in terms of onboarding and usage
- Lead and guide the product teams to effectively deliver the outcome, including coaching, cultivation of product mindset and best practices, actively raising the quality bar of the team.
- Provide input into budget and resource planning

**What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?**
- At least 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in data, finance or asset management industry
- At least 5 years in product manager role.
- People leadership experience of manager-of-managers
- Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering/Science, Data Science or relevant disciplines
- Possess good knowledge of financial instruments and markets.
- Experience in data engineering and platform in one or more areas:

- Major Cloud-based Data Platforms (such as Snowflake, Redshift, RDS)
- Data Lake/Big Data Technology (such as Cloudera, Databricks, EMR)
- Data Virtualization Technology (such as Denodo)
- Data Streaming Technology (such as Kafka, TIBCO)
- Business Intelligence (such as Tableau, PowerBI)
- Search Technology(such as Solr, Fusion)
- O365 Suite
- Experience with AI, machine learning, NLP, deep learning modelling, model management and unstructured data handling
- Ability to engage with business, gather requirements on business needs and translating them into data solutions
- Strong communication and people engagement skills to interact internally within team and externally across functions to design and develop solutions
- Self-driven, pro-active and great sense of purpose to relook existing data usage and implement innovation to strive for greater quality and efficiency of data solutions Exposure to financial services industries or Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) work is a plus**Work at the Point of Impact**
