JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Operations Manager (OM) is primarily responsible for performing reconciliation, onboarding, and Fund Business As Usual (“BAU”) activities and streamlining of operational processes for efficiency and operational excellence. The Operations Manager is also expected to lead and participate in the firm’s projects and initiatives that aim to either generate revenue, improve investor relationships for product offerings, or improve risk management capabilities. This role will report to the Head of Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

**- Onboarding**

OM is expected for the end-to-end onboarding process of Investment banks, custodians, new sub. OM is responsible for furnishing the necessary forms and getting the necessary approvals and addressing queries from internal and external stakeholders. OM will also be working with Compliance to perform KYC and onboard SFO, MFO, and Fund Partners’ clients that are not RM led.

**- Reconciliation**

The OM is expected to perform reconciliation on all associated fees (e.g., management fees), fee schedules, NAV, and fee revenue splits between internal in-house centralized tools and external parties (e.g., details from the fund administrator). OM is also responsible for providing the Investment team with the most recent period and historical portfolio performance, as well as P&L. This will also include all necessary investigations.

**- Administrative**

The OM is expected to generate reports such as Monthly/Quarterly or ad hoc reports for Family Office clients. He or she is also expected to provide scheduled updates to RMs on Fund Indicative NAV and Fund Factsheets/Marketing Deck.

**- Coordination**

The OM is expected for all end-to-end coordination for the setup of all SFO, MFO, and FP clients between the Middle Office, Operations, Finance/HR, and Investment Teams. This coordination work is also expected during the launch of our internal Rockstead Funds.

**- Others**

The OM is to participate in upcoming firm projects. He/she may also be required to perform UAT/UVT when necessary.

Personal Attributes

The OM is expected to uphold a high standard of professional conduct and behavior at all times.
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience in the financial industry, ideally in Hedge Fund Operation and risk management experience.
- Well-versed in MS Office, especially MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Knowledge in programming language such as Excel VBA, Python will be advantageous.
- Dynamic individual who is able to adapt quickly to changes.
- A meticulous self-starter who can plan, organize, and take initiative to meet job objectives and deadlines independently, with strong business acumen and interpersonal skills.
- Strong mindset and good working knowledge in mitigating risk and driving operational excellence.
- Proficient in English and Chinese (to be able to liaise with Chinese-speaking associates); Strong verbal and written communications skills.
