JERA Global Markets (JERAGM) is a leading utility-backed seaborne energy trader specialising in LNG, Coal and Freight with a platform to trade across all key markets worldwide. JERAGM is a joint venture between majority shareholder JERA Inc. (JERA) and EDF Trading.

JERAGM operates one of the largest seaborne energy portfolios in the world which gives the Company an in-depth understanding of the way local, regional and international energy markets behave. These insights enable the Company to help customers increase security of supply, optimise their portfolios and improve the risk management of their assets.

The commercial hub of the Company is in Singapore, with offices located in Japan (Tokyo), the UK (London) and the US (Baltimore).

DESIGNATION : Trade Finance Analyst (1-Year Fixed Term Contract, Maternity Cover)

RESPONSIBILITIES

**Position Description**

**Key Role Responsibilities**
- Supporting the development, and day-to-day management of business relationships with banks with regards to import LC, SBLC and bank guarantee issuance, silent payment guarantees, LC confirmations and LC discounting
- Processing and checking of documents under documentary credit (included claims under standby and guarantee)
- Involved in trade finance activities and terms of bilateral trade facilities with a certain knowledge of hedging activities and structured trades
- Working closely and providing support to Traders and Operations in LC negotiations with counterparties
- Monitor and ensure export LCs are well received in time from buyers
- Follow up and execute payments under import LCs and payments against documents

QUALIFICATIONS

**Key Qualifications and Experience**
- Educated to degree level (preferably a graduate in a business/accounting discipline)
- More than 5 years commodity trade finance experience in banks and/or commodity trading houses, with specific experience in coal and ideally LNG and other energy products
- Proficient in ISP 98 / UCP 600/ URDG / ICC publications
- Possess an understanding of Incoterms

- Confident personality, with the ability to communicate effectively in English (written and spoken)
- Attention to detail and the ability to work logically, consistently, and accurately
- Computer literate, numerate, and comfortable handling varied and complex data sets
- Excellent interpersonal and organisation skills are essential
- A commercial approach to his/her duties, a flexible approach to problem solving, and the ability to work effectively as part of a small, culturally diverse team
