Job Description
- Develop channel-specific strategies to build and manage the company’s social media profiles and presence, including but not restricted to, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and potentially additional channels (Facebook, Weibo, etc.)
- Create shareable content appropriate for specific networks to spread awareness of our brand
- Manage a publishing calendar with third party tools (like Hootsuite or Meltwater) with a spread of content, reflective of company’s focus areas or trending topics derived from analytics
- Listen and engage in relevant social discussion about our company, competitors, and/or industry, both from existing customers and leads and from brand new audiences that don’t yet know us
- Manage queries and issues raised on social media channels, following up with relevant teams if necessary
- Run regular social promotions and campaigns and track their success, ranging from Twitter chats, to Instagram Stories, to LinkedIn conversations, as well as the content and links posted through these and other channels
- Craft a strategy for paid social media and manage the budget and implementation of it across social media platforms and digital platforms like Google SEM
- Work alongside other marketers and content producers to help distribute content that educates and entertains our audience
- Drive consistent, relevant traffic and leads from our social network presence
- Explore new ways to engage, and new social networks to reach our target buyers and stakeholders
- Contribute to the corporate editorial/content calendar to ensure proactive communication of corporate progress and key milestones
- Develop relevant social media protocols and training programmes in collaboration with Group Corporate Communications colleagues
- Manage external agency support and vendors
- Work with other members of the GCC to deliver the overarching Corporate Communications strategy and providing backstop support in key functions as required
