SRD provides a full spectrum of services ranging from research/ analysis on industries to proposal of strategic solutions.

Providing information on economy and industry trends in Asia & Oceania and discussing client’s business challenges and building specific strategies to solve them.

Responsible for providing research assistance to the department. Support senior analysts with activities including, but not limited to, response to enquiries for various business units, collecting data and/or information, conducting preliminary data analysis, delivering the outcomes for various stakeholders.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work in partnership with various business units as well as overseas branches to provide first level of support on research enquiries, and escalate more complex enquiries to senior analysts and/or team leader.
- Work in partnership with various information providers including but not limited to consultancies and credit rating agencies to source information and support in developing robust reports.
- Develop and maintain a good relationship with key stakeholders both inside and outside the Bank.
- Support in the development of reports to assess and recommend specific industries credit worthiness, profitability, growth potential and risks.
- Efficiently collect necessary information and materials.
- Conduct preliminary data analysis to identify patterns and trends, and contribute towards more in-depth analysis by leveraging information from various sources.
- Manage processes, tasks and schedule in a self-directed manner.
- Communicate smoothly in/out of IRCD SRO and contribute to teamwork.
- Support the implementation of departmental initiatives to drive process improvement / efficiency.
- Provide planning / administrative assistance to department on a regular and/or ad-hoc basis where necessary.
- Maintain good working knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations. Adhere to all company policies as well as guidelines.

**Job Requirements**:

- Degree qualified
- Minimum 1 year of research experience
- Research/analysis experience coming from financial industry or companies providing economy/industry information
- Good analytical skills to interpret large and complex data sets and ability to identify implications of data sets
- Experience in researching to prepare sounds recommendations.
- Good knowledge of industries and economic environment in the region.
- Good understanding of Banking products and their risks.
- Team player and ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in Japanese (JPLT1 preferred) will be an added advantage.
