Ntu Presidential Postdoctoral Fellow

The Presidential Postdoctoral Fellowship provides the opportunity for early career scientists, engineers and scholars from Singapore and around the world to conduct independent investigations in any discipline at NTU, often regarded as the most research intensive university in Asia. The postdoc appointment is intended to provide a pathway to an academic appointment as an assistant professor or another international postdoctoral assignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently conduct research projects on topological data analysis involving datasets from biomolecular biology- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to approach complex problems- Collect, process, and analyze project data- Develop methodologies and algorithms for the topological analyses of project data- Design learning frameworks for the prediction and classification of biological data- Consolidate the results for publication and present findings at conferences
Job Requirements:
- PhD in in the mathematical sciences with sufficient knowledge in topological data analysis- Ability to manage their academic research and associated activities- Experience in computer programming and computational mathematics, which is highly desirable-
- Self-motivated disposition and the ability to work independently- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
