VP - Product Engineering is an exciting new role we have created to spearhead the tech operations while keeping a close tab on the product roadmaps and customer implementations.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:
As the VP - Product Engineering, you will be reporting directly to the CEO and are expected to own the entire technical organisation. You will be responsible for the product roadmap, release cycles, managing the team and maintaining high standards for our product quality. But that’s like the mission statement. Here's what your typical day is likely to ask of you:

- Product progress, milestones, and reviews with the team
- Participate in decision making process around technology strategy, conduct analysis on technical viability of solutions and provide guidance on delivery of complex projects.
- Lead the analysis of business requirements and participate in product definition, effort sizing and feature prioritization
- Roadmap implementation decisions - what feature ships when - and timeline planning
- Conducting design and code reviews and ensuring high quality feedback that helps the team scale up and grow technically.
- Lead processes and protocols for security and quality assurance, including the protection of sensitive data
- Oversee the architecture and engineering of the cloud back-end, APIs, database, storage, and devops
- Strategic decisions on product architecture, framework choices or other technical aspects to meet the market demands.
- Responsible for performing hands-on PoCs to validate new tech ideas that need to be adopted by the product teams after successful PoCs
- Lead and drive the strategy and vision of the technical team, manage resources and help the team meet deadlines.
- Defining architectural principles and patterns, mentor and guide the development team on the front
- end/backend-end technical strategy
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
- Of course, writing actual code to help the team where they need a hand.

**Qualifications**:

- have 10+ years experience in s/w development
- have worked with python+django for at least 3+ years
- have worked with a frontend framework/library like angular/react/vue for at least 2-3 years
- have extensive experience working with cloud architectures and providers - AWS (preferred)/GCP/Azure etc.
- have led a team of at least 4-5 people across development, testing and deployment disciplines.
- have a working understanding of cloud security
- are well-versed or at least familiar with the tools of the trade: git, Jira, Freshdesk, Hubspot and the like.
- have, optionally, worked in product management - owned a product roadmap, worked with customers, or participated in pre-sales demos or the like.
- have, ideally, also dipped your toes in project management.
- You have experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
- You have experience building enterprise software
- You have experience working in healthcare domains
- You have experience with SaaS architectures.
