Business Process Engineer

**Job Profile Summary**:
The Business Excellence Department, led by the Head of Corporate Strategy & Business Excellence, helps to define the strategy for the organization and bring the needed operational capabilities from across the organization (and outside) to execute the strategy. On a day to day basis, we help to translate strategy into specific strategic initiatives and take these initiatives from concept to incubation to execution. These strategic initiatives are primarily cross-functional, and the Business Excellence Department leads the delivery of these initiatives by bringing together the deep operational capabilities from within and outside the organization. Our team within the Chief Executive’s Office comprises of highly motivated individuals who are great collaborators, innovative in identifying efficient ways of working, are empowered to make the decisions and take accountability for their actions.
In this role, you will report to the Business Assurance & Re-engineering (BAR) Head by supporting the the re-engineering and development of business processes for each of the strategic initiatives assigned to you.
**In this role, you will lead in the following tasks**:
Identify ways of re-engineering existing processes / developing new processes to achieve the intended outcomes in an efficient manner such as activity and data modeling, developing modern business methods, identifying best practices, creating and assessing performance measurements, and striving for continuous improvement.
Be aware and open to new tools / techniques to automate process and Straight Through Processing of transactions, and help onboard these tools into our new ways of working.
Work closely with external vendors / service providers to deploy tools which will help us increase automation of workflows and processes across the organization.
Identification, mitigation and monitoring of operational risks arising from future state recommendations.
Ensure regular communication with key stakeholders, understand any key concerns in how the initiative is being delivered or any risks/issues that have
either not yet been identified or are not being progressed. Ensure dependencies and challenges (risks) are escalated and managed. Escalate critical issues to the Sponsor and/or BPR Head.
Accountable for the preparation and maintenance of BPR deliverables in accordance with BPR service offerings.

Degree in any Science, Finance, Computing or any Business-related discipline
Project management certified preferred (PMI, PRINCE2)
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified preferred
Work Experience
At least 5 years of broad business experience, ideally within big 4 / professional services / financial services
Previous experience in process transformation / automation / project management in a Financial Services industry.
