Telenor Procurement Company (TPC), established in 2017 and headquartered in Singapore, operates as a subsidiary of the Telenor Group. We deliver Global Category Management as a service to the Telenor Business Units, taking full responsibility for the end-to-end Sourcing process and performance of global spend categories. Functioning as one Global Procurement team across all Telenor markets, we enable Telenor’s strategic ambitions by becoming a center of expertise in the pursuit of efficient operations. TPC seeks qualified procurement professionals that are comfortable working in a global setup in the fast-paced Telecom field.

**Main responsibilities**

As Category Specialist for IoT devices, you will report to the Category Director and work closely with both Telenor corporate functions and all the business units in defining and managing the category performance inline with Telenor Business Unit and TPC priorities.

**Your key responsibilities will be**:

- Perform deep industry analysis and help define commercial strategy across category segments.
- Support category management activities including fact base analysis, market assessment, risk assessment and overall, contract management.
- Collaborates with peers in other Telenor business units and Group Functions to identify opportunities based on Telenor’s global scale.
- Support delivery of commercial priorities within Devices team and regularly report on category contractual performance.
- Collaborate with the risk management teams to co-ordinate price forecast updates, draw and share insights.

**Profile**

To succeed in this role, you have to be passionate about technology encompassing a wide portfolio of IoT consumer devices and accessories. As the category spend and suppliers are located across all our markets you would need to have to interact across organizational and cultural boundaries with a positive can-do attitude and the determination to deliver promises to the business.

**To enjoy this role and succeed in it you would need**:

- Business knowledge in device accessories landscape (or curiosity to learn fast).
- Demonstrated experience in category management including strong forecasting, financial analysis, and contract management capability.
- Familiar with contract setup activities such as specification definition, contract T&C setup.
- Be result oriented, demonstrating excellent collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical, systems thinking and problem-solving capabilities, high attention to detail (key attribute).
- Strong ability to communicate and interact effectively (verbal, presentation, facilitation & listening modes of communication) across organizational and cultural boundaries, internal and external
- Comfortable with data management tools and desire to become expert over time (key attribute).
- Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills with a high degree of integrity and execution power.
- Demonstrate commitment, maturity, flexibility, and speed in response to business needs and challenges.
- Foresee business risks related to role, highlighting to leadership and work towards mitigating risks in best manner
- Highly creative and innovative mindset
- Knowledge of sourcing techniques and demand management & demand forecasting methods
- Familiar with contract setup activities such as specification definition, contract T&C setup

**Qualification and Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in business administration and finance.
- More than 3 years to 5 years of experience in a procurement / contract management / vendor / negotiations / supply chain management. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Awareness of the device vendor market, ideally with experience in device handset.
- Advanced in Microsoft Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint) is a must.
- Experience with common data processing tools, e.g., Power BI etc.
