**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Design IPH pens that integrate the customer requirements along with the manufacturing considerations for R&D/proto line with the intent to transfer to a high-volume manufacturing line.
- Designs components/subsystems using CAD
- Partner across the R&D team to develop and execute test plans for designs, including validation of tolerances, forM/Fit/function, shock and vibration, safety, reliability, thermal generation, and system power measurements.

Integrates mechanical design requirements with material parameters and process requirements.
- Develops relationships with both internal and outsourced development partners for mechanical and electrical hardware design.
- Own components of an overall product through the development process including idea conception through prototyping and into production using HP’s product development processes.
- Interface with HP teams in different geographical locations as needed during the design and development process. Teamwork and ability to collaborate and communicate ideas is critical.

**Education & Experience** Recommended**
- Four-year Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
- Typically has 0-2 years of work experience, preferably in engineering design and solutions, implementation across hardware development lifecycle, or a related field.
