**Founding Backend Engineer (Rust/Web3)**

**Company Overview**:
We are an very early stage stealth startup revolutionizing the world of web 3 trading technology. Our team is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of innovation, and we're seeking a talented Backend Engineer to join us in shaping the future of decentralized finance.

**Role Overview**:
As a Backend Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the backend infrastructure that powers our web 3 trading platform. We are looking for a passionate hacker by nature, someone who thrives on challenges, has a knack for rapid prototyping, and is comfortable working in a dynamic startup environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Design and develop robust, scalable, and high-performance backend systems using Rust programming language.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and contribute to the overall architecture of our web 3 trading platform.
- Implement security best practices to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of user data.
- Optimize and fine-tune existing systems for maximum performance and efficiency.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in web 3 technologies and integrate relevant advancements into our systems.
- Actively participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

**Qualifications**:

- Strong proficiency in Rust programming language or C++ and willingness to work in Rust
- Proven experience working on trading systems or financial technology projects.
- In-depth knowledge of web 3 technologies, protocols, and smart contract development.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly prototype and iterate on ideas.
- Experience with decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols is a plus.
- Passion for hacking and a portfolio of personal projects showcasing your skills.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in backend development.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
