**The Challenges**:
- Providing effective physiotherapy assessment and treatment for residents in the nursing home under the guidance of therapists.
- Conducting therapy activities and assist therapist in therapy intervention.
- Preparing venue and equipment for therapy activities and tidy up after.
- Communicating with residents, promoting and motivating them to maximize their functions.
- Participating in clinical case discussion, including patient review meeting with other multidisciplinary team members.
- Assisting the therapist to supervise and train the therapy assistants (TAs) and volunteers helping in relevant areas.
- Assisting therapist in statistics collection and submission of monthly reports.
- Providing input and supporting work group meeting to enhance quality care to the residents.
- Support in gym, ward and community rehabilitation scheduling along with filing and other office work in the nursing home.
- Cleaning and sterilizing therapy equipment daily.
- Participating and taking on ownership of his/her Individual training plan.
- Participating in departmental in-service training and other external relevant training
- Assisting in identifying problem areas, recommending and implementing improvements in within the department and the centre.
- Any other duties as assigned.
**What it Takes:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy
- Relevant working expereiences with the elderlies or disabled
- Registered with AHPC
