**Job responsibilities**
- Builds and support Macro KDB+ API enabling real-time and historical etrading analytics for internal desks and clients
- Drives next-gen implementation of Macro KDB platform, combining on-prem and cloud-based engineering solutions
- Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
- Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance
- Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
- Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation
- Applies technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity
- Learns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

**Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Passionate to understand the raw etrading data and own the analytics derived from it
- Excited to face intellectual and technical challenges to address internal and external client demands
- Expert in KDB+ technology and Q language
- Experienced in real-time processing of large market data and order volumes, preferably in cloud-based deployments
- Understanding, or eager to learn, FX, Commodities and Rates electronic markets, products and protocols
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle
