**Experience**:

- Preferably with at least 1-2 years of relevant working experience as a Therapy Aide or in an eldercare setting.

**Special Aptitude**:

- Able to read and write in English.
- Knowledge of local dialects will be an added advantage.

**Job Summary**:
The Therapy Aide is responsible for supporting the delivery of day rehabilitation and day care services to clients at the Day Care Centre and Day Rehab Centre (located in Bedok). The role involves assisting therapists in implementing therapy programmes, preparing and maintaining therapy areas and equipment, and providing care and support to clients during their rehabilitation sessions and daily activities. The incumbent ensures a clean, safe, and conducive environment while promoting the well-being, comfort, and dignity of all clients under care.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Assist therapists in delivering rehabilitation and occupational therapy sessions to clients, ensuring exercises and activities are performed safely and correctly.
- Prepare therapy areas and equipment prior to sessions, maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the day.
- Support clients with personal care and daily living activities as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Monitor clients during therapy sessions and provide guidance or physical assistance as required.
- Demonstrate proper use of therapy equipment and exercises to clients under the direction of therapists.
- Maintain inventory of therapy equipment, medical supplies, and therapy materials, and report shortages or defects promptly.
- Conduct basic equipment checks and report any malfunctions for repair.
- Assist in organizing and preparing materials for recreational and therapeutic activities.
- Welcome clients upon arrival, escort them safely within the centre, and provide necessary support during transitions.
- Perform routine administrative tasks, including daily treatment record keeping, and retrieval of client information.
- Undertake other responsibilities as assigned by the Centre Manager.
