The Producer shall have overall responsibility for an animation production, managing the director and all the other departments to ensure a project’s delivered on time, within budget and to the best creative brief.

The Producer shall be entrusted with the responsibility of projecting, managing and keeping track of production costs and ensuring the project budget is maintained.

The Producer should have a deep understanding of animation and its creative possibilities as well as adequate knowledge of the production workflow and technical pipelines. The Producer shall manage the creative aspects and the teams responsible for delivering the aesthetic value of the production, whilst working closely with the technical teams, so as to ensure the project is delivered at the required quality and within the stipulated timeframes.

The Producer’s responsibilities, shall include but is not limited to:

- Working closely with the creative team to make sure the project meets all quality standards
- Managing budgets, schedules, and deadlines to ensure that projects are completed on time
- Ensuring that respective department heads and supervisors are delivering to the required quality and timeline, in accordance with the expectations of the director, executive producer(s), and commissioning broadcasters, where applicable.
- Coordinating with the director to ensure that all animation sequences meet the director’s vision
- Communicating with broadcast commissioners, distributors, clients and so on, to ensure that they are satisfied with the progress of the project at all times and their needs are adequately met
- Establishing production schedules and monitoring progress to ensure compliance with schedules
- Reviewing the final product to ensure that it meets quality standards before release to the client and/or public
- Managing vendors and freelancers to ensure that they deliver high quality work in a timely manner and overseeing the day-to-day communication with these parties. Such responsibility shall include soliciting, evaluating, and negotiating the contractual terms with such vendors and freelancers under the instruction of the executive producer
- Preparing project cost reports and other reports as may be required on a case-by-case basis
