**About the Job
Reporting to the Senior Service Manager, the **Senior Field Service Engineer **is responsible in providing solution, repair service, maintenance, and calibration of microscopy equipment within Olympus and/or Evident branded in our South-East Asia region. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to the success of our clients' critical projects.

This position will cover the product line of Microscope products.

The incumbent will have the opportunity to work with global community across APAC, China, US and EMEA.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Support installation, repair, maintenance, and calibration for microscopy systems, including optical, laser, and confocal microscopes, ensuring proper functionality and alignment.
- Collaborate closely with customers & distributors to understand their specific requirements, address inquiries, and provide technical guidance. Establish and maintain professional relationships to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provide remote and on-site technical assistance to customers, guiding them through troubleshooting procedures, identifying and resolving issues, and optimizing instrument performance.
- Prepare comprehensive and detailed service reports, evaluation reports, service checklist, recommendations, and quotation for customer.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration on microscopy equipment to ensure consistent and accurate results.
- Collaborate with customers to schedule maintenance visits and minimize downtime.
- Providing technical support to the Sales team for the potential sale of new instruments, including answering technical questions and occasionally running instrument demos.
- Train customers on proper microscope operation, maintenance best practices, and relevant software usage to empower them to maximize the potential of their equipment.
- Prioritize safety at all times, following established safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Manage and organize assign projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination with other teams.
- Build and maintain strong customer & distributor relationships by addressing their needs promptly, offering technical advice, and ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services.

**Formal Qualifications**
- Degree / Diploma in Engineering or a relevant discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

**Key Skills / Core Competencies**
- Strong technical background in microscopy, optics, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 3 year’ experience in servicing and maintaining **confocal microscopy equipment **is highly advantageous.
- Highly organized with superior customer service skills
- Excellent communications skills, highly self-motivated and capable in meeting agreed deadlines.
- The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a strong positive “can do” attitude is extremely important.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Willingness to travel within SEA around 10%.
