**Role: Systems Manager
- Storage and Backup**

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the continuous availability and high performance of the storage and backup infrastructure.
- Lead the timely resolution of storage and fabric-related incidents to minimize system downtime.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) following the restoration of service to identify and address any underlying issues.
- Provide both proactive and reactive support for storage subsystems (SAN) and fabric to maintain optimal performance and system availability.
- Monitor and forecast hardware capacity, plan for growth, and track utilization to ensure infrastructure remains efficient.
- Make informed recommendations for hardware and software upgrades to optimize the regional operating environment.
- Analyze and implement patches, code upgrades, and updates to management tools to maintain system health.
- Ensure compliance with security requirements, perform risk assessments, and validate security checks.
- Collaborate with Application Support and Data Center Operations teams to provide technical support for storage and backup systems.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience in managing storage and fabric infrastructure, possessing in-depth knowledge of storage hardware and system services.
- Expertise in configuring and managing a variety of storage hardware platforms, such as DELL, Hitachi, Pure, CISCO, and Brocade FOS.
- Strong knowledge of configuring and managing Veritas NetBackup, Media Appliances, and Dell Data Domain storage solutions.
- Proficiency with storage management tools like Solutions Enabler, Unisphere U4V, and SRM.
- Solid understanding of operating systems, including IBM AIX, Red Hat, Solaris, and Windows, as well as tools like PowerPath, SRM, and storage virtualization solutions.
- Experience with volume management, file systems, snapshots, multipath software, and configuring CISCO and Brocade switches.
- Proven track record in storage migrations using tools like SAN Copy, Open Replicator, and Virtualization Migrator.
- Scripting experience in Shell or Perl, and Ansible certifications are highly advantageous.
