Director of Software and Hardware Engineering

As Director of Engineering, you are responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of development at the game studio and mentoring and directing your technical leaders. You demonstrate exemplary leadership skills as you build, guide, and grow dynamic and passionate teams who love to engineer solutions to new problems, driven to create the world’s most innovative arcade games and services. Your team achieves its ambitions thanks to your technical experience, leadership, and ability to make informed decisions. You take pride and share a passion for the games and experiences your team develops together.

Key Responsibilities:

- From prototyping through to development, manufacturing, and go-to-market, leading engineering teams to launch commercially successful, innovative, and fun arcade game products.
- Collaborate with the Head of Product Management and Creative Director to develop and meet organizational goals while supplying expertise and guidance on technology and engineering capabilities.
- Interpret product vision and business objectives into development strategies, goals, and tasks, and provide a clear actionable plan to Engineering teams
- Develop and implement standards that drive technical excellence, including technical resources, documentation, testing, training, analytics, service standards, and system design
- Own and develop the technical strategy and roadmap, ensuring we meet our business goals including product delivery, innovation, and technical excellence.
- Manage, mentor, and grow a team of engineers and engineering manager, with a focus on attracting and nurturing top talent, actively identifying, recruiting, and developing successful managers, ensuring domain knowledge is shared, and building redundancy in key roles

Required Skills and Experience:

- Minimum of at least 10 years in senior product engineering or leadership position in hardware and/or software engineering.
- Multiple full cycles of product development under your belt shipping products from prototyping all the way through manufacturing.
- Experience in recruiting, mentoring, and building a technical team
- Technical expertise in product design, engineering, and manufacturing
- Demonstrated implementation of engineering standards in the previous role
- Excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and a strong sense of tact in all interactions
- Leadership, strong analytical and problem-solving skills

**Salary**: $13,000.00 - $15,000.00 per month
