Senior Program Manager, Flexport Factoring

**The opportunity**:
Flexport helps more than 10,000 clients and suppliers lead all aspects of their supply chain. Each of these customers faces significant working capital burdens that hamper their ability to grow their businesses. So far Flexport Capital has provided over $200 million in financing to Flexport customers to address these needs, and we’re just getting started. As a start-up within a start-up, we are building unique fintech products that leverage the resources and data of Flexport’s platform for global trade.

We are hiring a Program Manager to build Flexport Factoring. We are seeking an entrepreneurial individual to join a closely-knit team transforming global trade finance. You will help build new financing products, define the customer experience and its underlying technology, and drive the go-to-market.

**You will**:

- Develop and implement the product strategy and roadmap for Flexport Factoring and other export finance products
- Define the end-to-end customer lifecycle and journey on the Flexport Factoring platform, and own the customer experience
- Research fintech platform providers in the market, and recommend the most optimal make or buy decision to quickly bridge the technology gap for Flexport Factoring
- Manage build & integration projects with Flexport’s internal Product & Data organizations, as well as external technology providers, data sources, capital markets partners, and others
- Become a domain expert: understand the financial technology market, competitive landscape, and how Flexport fits into it all
- Drive initial go-to-market, build tech-enabled external GTM channels & partnerships
- Setup business analytics and metrics, be the right hand to business leader
- Work with legal, finance, tax, compliance, and other internal stakeholders to establish the (operational) processes of the factoring business towards launch
- Fill the gap, and roll up your sleeves when needed
- Support strategic projects and updates to company leadership regarding new products, financial insights, capital market partnerships, and more

**You should have**:

- 10+ years experience in finance (trade finance, credit, or FP&A) and/or logistics
- Proven track record of organizing & leading cross-functional initiatives engaging with diverse functional stakeholders (GTM, product, tech, finance, legal, compliance,), both internal & external
- Technical competence, including ability to discuss APIs, data models, and services with engineering teams & outside vendors (but you don’t need to be able to code)
- Excellent analytical skills; prior experience with SQL, Python, Looker highly preferred
- Prior exposure to factoring products, processes and systems is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, balancing both accuracy and efficiency
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team while managing multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
- Prior experience in leading teams & managing people preferred
- Experience in implementing new software/systems is a plus
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves when needed
- BA/BS degree; MBA is a plus
