Role overview
This is a key role in the Asia Pacific sustainability team, driving the development and implementation of sustainability-related data systems, analytics, and insights. The role’s objective is to support investment professionals with ongoing decarbonization plans and activities, and to provide timely and accurate feedback loops to improve asset-level sustainability performance. This role will be supported by a data administrator.
Roles & Responsibilities
**Data Strategy & Change Management**:
Work collaborative with global and regional stakeholders to define and support the implementation of LaSalle’s global data strategy, providing guidance and best practices for sustainability data management.
Identify business problems and challenges and formulate data-driven solutions in consultation with key internal stakeholders.
Develop a clear change management approach to ensure orderly and systematic transitions when rolling out new processes and solutions.
**Data Quality & Integrity**:
Direct data administrator and external data management consultants in ensuring timely, accurate and complete data collection; supported by ESG Manager / VP / SVP on engagement front.
Ensure proper data governance through a systematic and well-communicated RACI matrix.
**Data Visualization, Analytics & Insights**:
Use statistical techniques and data visualization tools to explore and analyze large datasets and identify patterns, trends, and correlations to extract meaningful insights.
Communicate analysis findings and complex data concepts through visually appealing and interactive charts, graphs, and dashboards to tell a coherent data story for investment professionals.
**Data Modelling & Forecasting**:
Required Experience, Qualifications & Competencies
Competent understanding of real estate sector and sustainability performance drivers & metrics. This includes building energy, water, waste data, and data required for GRESB, building certifications and regulatory reporting.
Advanced proficiency in visualization tools e.g. PowerBI, Tableau; statistical software e.g. Excel, SPSS, SAS; data analysis languages e.g. SQL, Python, R.
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Science, Real Estate, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, or a comparable discipline is required, with prior experience in data analysis or a related field preferred.
Proactive, creative, and independent problem-solving ability essential.
Effective communication and presentation capabilities, adept at simplifying complex data insights for investment professionals.
Takes personal accountability for assigned tasks and demonstrate peer leadership.
