Data Science Intern

Let’s talk about the team and you:
The Data Science and AI/ML team collaborates across the organization to identify, develop and deliver Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) powered software solutions that improve patient outcomes, delight our partners and customers, and improve the way we do business in an “AI First” fashion. On any given day, the team could be working on building sophisticated models to delivering personalized recommendations to patients to improve their sleep, identify optimal equipment and settings using our unparalleled store of billion+ nights of sleep data, proactively identify other health risk factors, help optimize complex, global supply chain operations or help empower the direct-to-consumer marketing strategies.

As a data science intern, you will work with the team to develop data-driven solutions and insights using the latest technologies in data mining, machine learning and cloud computing. You would gain hands-on experience in understanding business needs, processing real-world big data, researching on leading-edge machine learning algorithms and building predictive models.

Let's talk about qualifications:
- Undergraduate student with at least an expected grade in 2nd upper class in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Bioengineering, Statistics, Informatics, or another quantitative field or equivalent.- Knowledge in machine learning/operations research fundamental theories and data mining technologies.- Knowledge in algorithm complexity vs. accuracy vs. implementation cost.- Good SQL and python programming skills.- Good coding practice (clean, production-grade code, error handling, testing, etc.) is a plus.- Experience with code versioning tools such as Git or Bitbucket is a plus.- Experience with or knowledge in cloud computing is a plus.- Good communication skills.- Willingness to learn from and to collaborate with the team.
