As part of our Digital & Technology team, this role will contribute to the development, performance, quality and scaling of Keppel’s data pipelines, with a special focus on data quality.

The intern will be responsible in the following:

- Rapidly developing next-generation scalable, flexible, and high-performance data pipelines.
- Drive high value data by connecting different disparate datasets from heterogeneous source systems
- Solving issues with data and data pipelines, prioritizing based on customer impact, and building solutions that prevent them from happening again (root cause).
- Experimenting with new tools and technologies to meet business requirements regarding performance, scaling, and data quality.
- Building effective monitoring of data and jumping in to handle outages.
- Monitor and follow relevant SLIs and SLOs

Learning Outcomes:
The intern will take part in the execution of technical tasks within the scope of multiple lines of business’ data management. As part of the time, he/she will build internal data processes for internal and external stakeholders and directly contributes to data availability required for business reporting. He/she will also supports solution envisaging and technical designs and drives hands-on implementations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Undergraduate pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics or Information Technology
- Experience in the field, using 2 or more server-side programming languages - preferably Python, Spark, Scala etc.
- Knowledgeable about data modelling, data access, and data storage techniques.
- Demonstrable experience with SQL, HQL, etc.
- Good understanding of basic analytics and data integration concepts.
