Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibility:
Ensure the FPSO is maintained in good working condition and all systems, machinery and equipment is operated with good engineering and seamanship practice and in accordance with applicable rules and regulations, maker’s instructions, Company directives and Company System.

Area of responsibility covers maintenance of the FPSO, including deck and production systems, machinery and equipment.

The Maintenance Superintendent is appointed by the Company and has delegated authority as technical manager on-board the FPSO.

General Duties:

- Ensure that all activities, for which he/she is responsible, are carried out in conformance with laws and regulations, contractual requirements and Management System.
- Ensure that his daily activities and his/her team are carried out in a safe and healthy manner.
- Ensure that the impact of such activities on the environment is within acceptable limits.
- Ensure that all personnel under his/her supervision possess the necessary qualifications and experience to properly carry out the work assigned to them.
- Inform the OIM of all matters of importance within his/her area of responsibility.

Specific Duties:

- Head of the Maintenance department.
- Management of technical operations and meeting the KPIs for maintenance and safety.
- Execute and coordinate actions to maintain utilities and energy sources necessary to support daily production.
- Ensure personnel is informed of their duties and applicable work procedures and of safety and pollution prevention measure.
- Ensure personnel qualifications are established and that everyone is given the opportunity of improvement through selective on the job training.
- Undertake training relevant to the position requirements.
- Contribute effectively to incident investigation, review and reporting.
- Member of Emergency Response Team.
- Carry out the duties and tasks as specified in the Emergency Response Plan

Furthermore, the Maintenance Superintend must perform the work required by his superior and perform tasks according to company procedures, including administrative or operational tasks

Qualification Requirements:
General education, certificates and experience:
a) Completed education and meet the standard STCW code A-III/2 for Chief Engineer or higher technical education.

b) 5 years’ experience on the offshore installations or seagoing service as a Chief Engineer or Maintenance Supervisor.

c) Have supervision experience of Permit to Work (PTW), Mechanical/Electrical Isolation Standards and Risk Assessment.

d) Standard of competence according to Competence Assurance Matrix.
