Care Corner Singapore Ltd was founded in 1981, in a climate of changes in the early 1980s, as economic competition in the region intensified and the rift between the wealthy and the lower-income in particular the Chinese blue-collar workers, widened. Rev Tan Tien Ser and a group of passionate individuals believed that these marginalised people with lower income and little opportunities for a formal education could be helped to realise their potential and become more competent and fulfilled persons. Through a series of early outreach initiatives, Care Corner has evolved into an organisation offering a wide range of programmes and services delivered through various social service centres located island-wide. In a bid to stay relevant to the needs of the community, Care Corner has continuously strived to offer new and innovative programmes to support those in need and the less privileged.

DESIGNATION : Social Worker

RESPONSIBILITIES
**Case Work and Counselling**:

- Manage case referrals.
- Manage 25 - 30 C&C active cases (group 2, 3 & 4) per quarter.
- Conduct assessment, planning and intervention for cases.
- Conduct case conferences with partners.
- Participate in networking and case management meetings.
- Document and evaluate case outcomes.
- Develop and review appropriate intervention strategies.
- Ensure reports on cases are submitted in a timely manner

**Information and Triage**
- Refer clients to appropriate agencies for further intervention.
- Part of the Intake & Triage Team to conduct intake assessments for new intakes based on the practice standards of the Code of Social Work Practice and Practice Guide

**Community Work**
- Network with other organisations and stakeholders.
- Community Needs Assessment

**Group Work**
- Be part of the programme team for Group Work programmes conducted at the FSC.

**Requirements**:

- A good team player and with good written and interpersonal skills
- Passion to serve and to work with youths and their families
- Must be registered with SASW Accreditation Board

QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Social Work or Graduate Diploma in Social Work from NUS/ Monash/UniSIM or any other recognised university.
