Manage and coordinate the tasks and activities needed to deliver a high-quality seismic image, fulfilling contractual requirements and objectives, whilst ensuring a safe, cost effective, efficient and high-quality seismic operation, with a responsibility to our customers and shareholders.
- Ensure that the PXGEO, EHSQ policies and management system are implemented, followed, measured and adhered to by all in the seismic operation.
- Develop and maintain a positive relationship with the client or client representative on the vessel.
- Supervise, develop, train and appraise subordinates according to HR and training policies.
- Provide feedback information to the clients, operations and the technical group.
- To produce reports on the vessel operations, efficiency and technical performance.
- Ensure that risk analysis and risk mitigation are integrated into everyday tasks.
- Manage the seismic assets, procurement, shipments and vessel seismic Opex.
- Provide the customer with technical and operational advice prior, during and post project if required.
- Promote teamwork and positive cooperation throughout the seismic and maritime groups to increase operational efficiency and performance.
- Liaise with the Party Manager - MTS on the opposite crew and vessels to ensure consistency of operations.
- Maintain operational accounting information, monitor and record all daily activities, time events, profit and loss. Manage and review crew expense claims.
- Ensure all crew members attend a documented Travel Advisory briefing onboard the vessel before each crew change or port call.
- Ensure as far as reasonably practicable the professional conduct and compliance with PXGEO Commitments of all crew members at hotels and other public places associated with crew changes and port calls
- Fulfill their assigned responsibilities as part of the Emergency Response team in line with the Emergency Response Plan and duty list as required.

**Requirements**:

- Higher National Diploma or University degree with Project Management experience preferred or equivalent industry experience.
- 10 years’ experience in marine seismic acquisition preferred, with 5 years department chief experience.
- Experience in management of client interface including interpretation and negotiation.
- Experience in compilation of final reports, and concise reporting.
- Microsoft Office skills to maintain and navigate various databases and produce reports of a quality that can be shared to external clients.
- Extensive experience of EHSQ management
- Detailed understanding of modern marine acquisition techniques, including a good technical skill set, and core competency in a minimum of one relevant technical field.
- Broad operational knowledge, understanding of each department’s functions, challenges, and purpose.
- Detailed understanding of the various contract models under which marine acquisition takes place, and resultant risk profiles of contract models
