[What the role is:]

The National Library, Singapore’s Digital Heritage team is seeking a Librarian/Associate Librarian to lead the discovery, access, and use of the National Library’s digital collection and establish the National Library as a custodian of Singapore’s published and documentary heritage to build on its role as an enduring source of knowledge on Singapore and its place in the world.

**[What you will be working on]**

1 Provide reference and research services to meet the information needs of users through onsite counter and remote enquiries duties on weekdays including monthly morning and/or evening onsite counter duties during weekends on a roster basis.

2 Lead, conceptualise and execute strategy to improve the discovery, access, and use of the National Library’s digital collection through the National Library Board’s corporate online platforms and physical spaces including search and discovery tools across different user lifecycles.

3 Manage, oversee, and update the National Library’s institutional content, National Library Online and National Library digital collections directory including data analysis as webmaster for the National Library’s webpages.

4 Develop promotional and engagement plans to increase awareness and meet outcome indicators for the National Library Board’s crowdsourcing website, ‘Singapore Memories: Documenting Our Stories Together’ as well as work closely and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders. Oversee updates to the website, compile monthly statistics reports including data analysis as webmaster.

5 Curate and create content for knowledge creation and to provide greater awareness of the National Library’s digital collection on Singapore.

**Job Requirements**:

- At least 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience
- Good understanding of digital items in multiple formats, its best practices and technological trends for access and discovery.
- Strong project management and organisational skills with openness to innovate, generate ideas that create value and improve processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
- Strong stakeholder management and persuasion skills to work across teams, divisions, and external partners.
- Proactive, self-driven, resourceful, able to work independently and together as a team.

Successful applicant will be appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance.
