Our client is a well-established privately-owned global investment wealth management company servicing private clients as well as institutions. They have a long successful history in advisory and portfolio management, assisting private family offices and UHNW entrepreneurs.

AP Executive have been selected to find a managing director to lead the private client investment teams, and role can be based in either Singapore or Hong Kong. The successful applicant must be fluent in Mandarin and English languages. The ability to conduct business in Mandarin is essential.

This exciting and important role will require you to have extensive experience of at least 10 years in the Asian investment management industry. Gained from working for an investment firm or a large institutional investor or large family office. A well-developed network in the family office and UHNW private client community in Singapore and / or Hong Kong. Be professionally qualified CFA or CAIA charter with an MBA or financial services related degree.

You will have the autonomy to build and grow a large portfolio of existing and new family office and UHNW client relationships. Manage clients' portfolios and overseeing a current team of investment directors to create custom private client portfolios. Our client will also consider someone who would like to bring a team of investment managers with them to complement the already existing teams.

Evaluate investment managers for all asset classes including long only equity, liability hedging and alternative asset classes including hedge funds, real estate, venture capital, private equity and oil & gas. Develop and implement investment objectives, policies and asset allocations for complex trust structures. Attend marketing presentations, family office conferences as a guest speaker on occasions or for networking. Some travel will be required across the Asian continent including mainland China.
