SingHealth is the largest provider of medical services in Singapore, with a network of acute hospitals, national specialty centres, community hospitals and polyclinics offering over 40 clinical specialties. It aims to drive the transformation of healthcare and provide affordable, accessible and quality healthcare.

Duke-NUS Medical School (Duke-NUS) is Singapore’s only graduate academic medical school with Signature Research Programmes in Emerging Infectious Disease, Health Services and Systems Research, Cancer and Stem Cell Biology, Cardiovascular and Metabolic Diseases and Neuroscience and Behavioural Disorders. Together they form the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre (AMC).

The SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute (SDGHI) was launched in September 2018 as a joint institute under the AMC with a vision to advance health and well-being in Southeast Asia and beyond. The goals are to (1) improve health outcomes, (2) increase health security, and (3) strengthen health systems through partnerships with countries across the region.
SDGHI is organised around four programmatic areas (or Cores) - Policy, Research, Education and Clinical Cores, to advance Global Health research and teaching efforts. Partnerships across 14 countries throughout Asia have been established, through which these Cores foster greater coherence and alignment of global health activities; act as a coordinating mechanism for partnerships with national, regional and global actors; and facilitate new areas of work that respond to pressing global health priorities.

Research Associate / Scientific Officer

A degree or Master’s degree in public/global health, epidemiology, molecular epidemiology, molecular genetics, or other related disciplines.Minimum 3 years research experience. Previous experience with methods for genomic sequencing and/or genomic analysis would be an asset.Proven track record of contributing to successful research programmes, including authorship on publications.Strong writing and critical thinking skills, as well as good communication and presentation skills.Proven ability to work harmoniously in a team and to establish and maintain effective professional peer working relationships
