DFS is rapidly transforming its information systems landscape to drive interesting business initiatives which has dependencies on how effectively data assets are being managed.

In this role we are looking for an Application Architect. The role provides a unique combination of functional and technical product expertise and delivery implementation experience in digital & retail systems to design and deliver software solutions to meet the needs of DFS. The Application Architect will work closely with members of DFS Business team as well as across a variety of technology functions to understand business and system requirements and provide a critical link between the functional and technical delivery team to ensure a complete and cohesive solution.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead the Digital Architecture activities spearheaded by Enterprise Architecture Team
- Provides technical leadership and establishing the direction for the IT architecture, standards, design, and implementation
- Evaluate and recommend the use of cloud native technologies and methods, considering their practicality, technical limitations, and criticality
- Create, evaluate and implement high-level plans and design proposals for IT solutions and ensure performance tuning and scalability
- Document all solution architecture design and analysis work
- Collaborate with vendor development team to resolve technical challenges
- Analyse and determine performance tuning and scalability improvements of code and queries

**Key Requirements**:

- BS in Computer Science or equivalent (MS preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience as a technical lead and digital solution architect
- Good experience in cloud computing such as Ali / Azure and China Digital Ecosystem systems
- Strong experience in Private / Public and Hybrid cloud Infrastructure and supporting Networks, Storage and Security
- Experience and a proven track record of designing and implementing digital technology solutions around E-commerce, CRM, Loyalty, Brand websites and POS
- Experience of working as a solution architect, designing, architecting, and implementing solutions in China Ali Cloud / Azure cloud
- Demonstrated functional and technical knowledge in point-of-sale (POS) solution architecture (Cegid, Diebold-Nixdorf or similar)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with industry and security standards Agile
- Experience with payment vendors/gateways
- Familiar with integration architecture principles and topics like MuleSoft
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and digital trends in retail industry
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to build up good relationships (LVMH Group) and with a natural collaborative nature
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
