**Responsibilities**:

- Development & integration of robotic systems, such as navigational aids, obstacle avoidance, 3D point cloud algorithms and computer vision.
- Communicate with our clients to understand their current pain points and how robotic / AI / machine learning can be applied to improve their bottom line. This includes discussions with clients’ top management, members of their information technology team, as well as their specialists from other fields, such as logistics.
- Work with other R&D team members both in Singapore and abroad to develop proofs-of-concept of solutions and present it to our clients.
- Together with other R&D team members and partner organizations, develop said proofs-of-concept into systems capable of handling large volumes in production environments.
- Keep up with technology developments related to robotics, AI, machine learning, and engineering of large-scale software systems.

**Requirements**:

- Good knowledge of robotic systems, IOT and integration.
- Proficiency in Python is a must. Proficiency in C++ or at least one other popular programming language (e.g., Java, JavaScript, C, C#, Go, Kotlin, PHP) is preferred.
- Good knowledge of software engineering and data engineering concepts, such as algorithmic complexity, architectural patterns, software quality assurance.
- Working knowledge of either GCP, AWS, or Azure, particularly services related to AI/ML, CI/CD, and data engineering.
- Good knowledge of AI and machine learning, including trade-offs related to selection of data pre-processing steps, algorithms, and evaluation metrics is preferred.
- At least 4 years of experience in software or hardware development, preferably robotics-focused or IOT systems. Alternatively, 4 years post-graduate research experience with publications related to robotics/AI/ML in reputable journals or conferences.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. This includes the ability to clearly explain technical matters such as system design decisions to non-technical audiences.
- At least a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics or related field.
- Experience working in projects that involve stakeholders based in different countries will be a plus.
- Experience with drones and knowledge of drone technology will be a plus.
