[What the role is]
Associate Librarian/ Librarian (National Reading Movement & Literary Arts), Programmes & Services
[What you will be working on]
- Promote and develop interest in reading among adults with special focus on the literary arts and fiction works.
- Conceptualise, plan and execute new and existing programmes. Gather and compile relevant feedback and conduct periodic reviews of the programmes.
- Part of the project team to plan, develop and execute NLB signature events (such as Read Fest) which includes programming, publicity, marketing, outreach, logistics, administration and partnerships.
- Contribute towards content development by researching, developing, producing and editing content related to the promotion of the literary arts and fiction works among adults.
- Develop and nurture collaborative opportunities within and outside of NLB (e.g. community organisations and interest groups), to scale up reach through reading programmes, outreach, joint events, cross-marketing and resource sharing.
- Perform administrative and logístical support to ensure smooth execution and reporting of programmes.
[What we are looking for]
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in project management, community engagement and marketing/ promotion
- Good knowledge of the literary arts and the Singapore literary landscape
- Strong command of English with good written and verbal communication skills
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for reading and promoting reading
- Proactive and meticulous with excellent time management, project management and administrative skills
- Events management experience preferred
Successful applicant will be appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance.
