Logistics Coordinator

**Your Job**
Responsible to obtain the most efficient freight transportation at the most economical cost while maintaining required safety, service and security levels. Perform, administer, and provide technical and analytical work related to planning, development, and execution of logistics policies and programs.

Contributes to overall commercial, economic and technical success of **KES ET&S** projects representing procurement function on the project team and ensuring costs are optimized, goods are procured and delivered to meet the defined project requirements.

**What You Will Do**
- Provide ideal shipping techniques (i.e. routing/transport assessments etc.) with reference to the goods moved - containers, breakbulk, etc.
- Prepare accurate & complete Documentation for transshipments & drop shipments (inc. Tax Invoice, Pro-Forma Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading / Airwaybill).\
- Generate documentations & follow up with excel traceability.
- Ensure that Documentation (invoices & pro-forma invoices) are aligned to FTA forms.
- Liaise with Customs Brokers to ensure, compliant import/export execution to avoid errors and penalties and manage the KPI expectations in line to the organization global standards.
- Manage the virtual logistics flows from source origin to destination & maintain full control, compliance & visibility of transactions across the virtual network involving direct & drop shipments from Source (Plants or Hubs) to proximity hubs.
- Liaise and communicate with logistics service providers, internal and external stakeholders across all levels to ensure high operational optimization.
- Work with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.
- Evaluate budgets and expenditures.
- Update and evaluate metrics to assess performance and implement enhancements.
- Manage daily shipments to customers as per company's quality standards.
- Perform distribution services based on local and international regulations.
- Provide expert logistic advice and resolve any shipment problems promptly.
- Respond to any issues or complaints.
- Ensure all operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and ISO requirements.
- Provide training as and when required to educate local business units/departments on logístical expectations and industry best practice and provide guidance to global team on local process procedures.
- Additional duties as required by supervisor.
- Travel below 5%.

**Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)**
- Academic qualifications to the standard of Diploma or Degree in logistics, business administration or supply chain management.
- Or possess a background in industrial logistics / project logistics with 5-10+ years experiences.
- Have experience w/ containerized, breakbulk and/or heavy lift movement.
- Have experience in air-freight, sea-freight and inland movement.
- Proficient technical software skills to keep accurate and easily accessible records: Intermediate level on MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word.

**What Will Put You Ahead
- Exposure and experience of Manufacturing and/or Petrochemical Industry.
- Have advanced skills in dealing with international trade activity.
- Exposure in the world of logistics general knowledge and possess a good understanding of logistics best practice.
