**Job purpose**:
Lending will include the following key business areas:

- **Asset Finance **- structured asset finance, securitization, borrowing base, factoring. Underlying assets include trade and lease receivables.
- **Specialised Finance **- export and leveraged finance. The team offers medium to long term export financing facilities in both emerging and mature markets for our bank’s exporting corporate client base.
- **Renewable Energy **- offshore/onshore windfarm, solar, green infrastructure projects
- **Corporate Lending **- includes plain vanilla and complex bespoke products delivering liquidity, risk transfer and balance sheet management (pricing and RWA, portfolio optimization)
- **Risk, Resource / Transaction Management **- transaction monitoring of portfolio within Asset Finance (covering mainly traders and aircraft financing portfolio)

The Lending team covering the above businesses are based in Singapore and Tokyo.

The objective of the Intern is to support the members of the Lending team in Asia in originating, structuring and executing relevant business within the framework of the bank’s strategy. The role requires the employee to closely cooperate and align his or her activities not only with the Lending team, but also with other departments and segments of the bank.

In pursuing the targets and tasks set, the employee must adhere to the strategic goals as well as the business and risk policies of Lending and Corporate Clients while strictly following Commerzbank’s Code of Conduct.

**Key activities**:

- To prepare client pitches and internal group presentations
- To support in reviewing legal documentation
- To provide administrative support (e.g. expense management, scheduling of meetings) and transaction monitoring (e.g. client outreach, portfolio assessment)
- To help source market intelligence, market data and credentials
- To support in preparation of internal reporting e.g. pipeline reports, reporting for committees and to management

**Former education**:

- University degree/diploma/Master preferably in banking, finance, economics, business administration, law, or related studies.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills (ideally a good understanding of general accounting standards and financial analysis fundamentals such as calculating financial ratios)
- Skills required: Good knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Fluency in English required; Mandarin advantageous

**Specialist knowledge (work experience, further qualification)**:

- Prior relevant internship experience positively regarded
