- Adopt the best data engineering practices to design and build reliable data marts in the Hadoop ecosystem for financial planning, reporting, and analytics
- Maintain and optimise data pipelines to ensure all data are up to date; develop data quality monitoring tools to ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Provide timely support to senior leaders (c-level) on data and analytical requests
- Work closely with data PMs and engineers to communicate data requirements, collect data, and validate quality of data products
- Collaborate with the regional finance control team to align logics of key metrics across various business lines (Shopee, Seamoney, etc.), acting as logic owners to ensure code logics correctly reflect latest business definitions
- Take lead to help the department automate manual processes through technical solutions, including building data storage and versioning systems, developing python-based automation tools, etc.
- Develop data science models (e.g., lasso regression, tree-based models, GBM, etc..) for accurate key metrics projections and perform statistical analysis

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
- Hands-on experience with large volumes of data using SQL, Spark, Hadoop, or other big data ecosystems
- Good knowledge of software engineering concepts; mid to high level skills in Python or other object-oriented programing languages
- Solid understanding of maths and statistics fundamentals, good analytical and statistical modelling skills. Data science modelling (ML regression) experiences preferred
- Outstanding in interpersonal communications and stakeholder management; experiences to handle cross-team collaboration projects
- Being able to present technical concepts and analytical findings efficiently to various stakeholders
- Good at multitasking and work prioritisation and being able to deliver work timely under pressure
