**Position Purpose**:

- Provide Support & control to the Commodity Business conducted under BNP Paribas
- This role encompasses trade validation in FO/MO booking systems.

**Responsibilities**

**Direct Responsibilities**

Operationally support the GECD Business in APAC: Current setup & Initiatives
Ensure that Commodity trades are reconciled with external source and rectify discrepancies on the same day so that trades are validate on T.
Ensure that deals are properly interfaced from Front Office to Middle Office & Investigate if any issues.
Ensure relevant documents are provided on warrant activity & do proper checks to make sure that transfer of ownership of cargo is done smoothly.
Reconcile booking system position with warehouses statement on base Metal.
Report on the fly to management on issues as soon as they arise.
End of day issues reporting into Risk monitoring tool Orus.
Comply with internal and external regulatory and compliance requirements

Bring solutions to new business initiatives for development
Bring Direct contribution to BNPP operational permanent control framework
Propose process improvements
Minimize operational failure, including but not exclusively the risk of fraud by helping to devise and by implementing sufficient regular controls

**Technical and Behavioral Competencies required**
- Strong Commodities products & Business knowledge: Base Metal/ Bullion/ Oil/ Agri. Products: OTC swap, warrant, deposit, fx,
- Analytical mindset and Attention to detail.
- Very good logical & solving skills.
- Innovation and initiatives: Demonstrate willingness to constantly improve the status quo.
- Understand the processes in place and evaluate if needed alternative options to do things better (cost - benefits / ROI approaches). Think “outside the box”.
- Client Focus: Capacity to work with various clients. Act as partnership with them.

**Experience and Qualifications required**
- A bachelor degree is required, preferably in Economics or Mathematics.
- A first good experience in Commodities Operations ( minimum 3 years )
- Masterize Excel
