Hardware Engineering Manager

HPE Aruba is looking for an individual who is highly motivated, energetic and driven to fill the post of Hardware R&D Engineering Manager. This individual will lead, manage and develop a team of skilled hardware engineers to deliver cutting-edge networking switch platforms for the global market.

**_Responsibilities:_**
- Leads a team of hardware engineers to architect, design and deliver complex networking switch platforms.
- Drives quality end-to-end delivery of hardware components consisting of PCA electrical design, mechanical enclosure, FPGA devices, power sub-systems and DVT validation.
- Provides people-care management for assigned team members, including hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; ensures that proper knowledge and career development tools are in place to support ongoing team member and process development.
- Manages headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated and that goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met in accordance with program and organizational roadmaps.
- Manages relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers, including setting expectations regarding deliverables, product quality, schedules, and costs; ensures that team members are effectively communicating and collaborating with outsourced resources.
- Communicates execution status and escalate issues to program managers, development partners and executives
- Proactively identifies areas of innovation, process improvement and cost optimization

Education and Experience Required:

- **
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering or related technical disciplines.
- Typically 10 years of relevant wok experience in new product development, including 2 years of people management experience

Knowledge and Skills:

- **
- Proven people leadership skills, including coaching, team-building, and conflict resolution.
- Ability to manage human capital across geographies to drive workforce development and achieve desired results.
- Advanced project management skills including time and risk management, resource prioritization, and project structuring.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate project status and motivate teams.
- Deep familiarity with hardware product development life-cycle.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Good understanding of the company's policies and processes.
- Technical background and knowledge on PCA electrical design would be considered an advantage
