Roles & Responsibilities:
Report directly to senior IT leadership, providing regular updates on network performance, incidents, upgrades, and project milestones.
Design, implement, manage, and maintain the organization's enterprise-level network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, firewalls, VPNs, wireless, and cloud networking environments.
Monitor network systems to ensure high availability, optimal performance, and mínimal downtime, implementing proactive measures to prevent service disruptions.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, working collaboratively with other IT teams and external vendors as needed.
Lead network-related projects including upgrades, migrations, expansions, and new deployments in accordance with business and security requirements.
Ensure network security by implementing and managing firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VLAN configurations, and access control policies.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of network architecture, configurations, procedures, and inventory.
Manage and optimize network monitoring tools and conduct regular performance tuning and capacity planning.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending improvements or enhancements to the existing infrastructure.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior network engineers and IT support staff.
Ensure compliance with all relevant data protection laws, IT governance policies, and audit requirements.
**Requirements**:
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in managing complex network infrastructures, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity.
Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIS, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of enterprise network protocols, routing and switching (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), and technologies such as MPLS, SD-WAN, and VPNs.
Hands-on experience with configuring and managing firewalls (e.g., Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Palo Alto), wireless controllers, and load balancers.
Proficient in network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark).
Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is an added advantage.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a structured and analytical approach to troubleshooting.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external service providers.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
