**Introduction to GlobalFoundries**

**Essential Responsibilities**:
As a Senior Engineer in the Electrical Failure Analysis team, you will develop and implement methods and procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection to ensure that the products are free of flaws and function as designed.
- Provides electrical and physical failure isolation analysis support to localize and determine root cause of failure in silicon devices
- Conducts root cause failure analysis that leads process changes to eliminate the problems
- Support Lab management in equipment installation, upkeep and maintenance
- Support new technique, method and development plans to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Formulate concise failure analysis reports and present failure analysis results
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs
- Work and collaborate other projects and/or assignments as needed

**Requirements**:
Job Skillsets
- Skillset to perform fault isolation using laser induced techniques, photon emission and thermal microscopy with good understanding on techniques strength and limitation
- Ability to perform wafer level and package level sample preparations for subsequent fault isolation (package, polishing, substrate thinning, SEM inspection)
- Nanoprobing (AFP, EBIC/EBAC, Current imaging) and/or package failure analysis skillets (X-Ray, CSAM, decapsulation) to perform physical failure analysis (polishing, SEM inspection, FIB ) are highly favoured
- Experience on operating Bench testers (NI-PXI), parametric analyzer and test program modification are highly valued.

Knowledge & Abilities
- Requires a technical (University) degree in Engineering (Electrical &/or Electronics, Microelectronics, Physics, Material Sciences) with following experiences.
- BS with 2-4 years / MS with 1-3 year / PhD Fresh graduate -1-year relevant experiences
- Good understanding of Semiconductor IC Electrical Failure Analysis (EFA) flow, techniques, principles, and challenges on advanced technology nodes
- Good understanding of Semiconductor wafer fabrication process flow, transistor device physics and circuit analysis

- Works on projects, assignments, and problems of moderate scope.
- Coaches’ students.
- Participates in teams and able to support weekend shift (if required)
