What the role is

Depending on operational requirements, you will take on the role of either an Air Traffic Control Support Officer, and a Ramp Control Officer where you will respectively:
a) provide Flight Information Services to the aviation community to ensure a safe and efficient flow of air traffic in the Singapore Flight Information Region, or

b) provide Ramp Control Services to ensure the safe movement of aircraft within apron areas and corresponding apron taxi lanes.

What you will be working on

As an Air Traffic Control Support Officer, your role will include processing aeronautical and meteorological information for Air Traffic Control Officers as well as for pilot briefings and high frequency voice communications with pilots. In addition, you will also assist Air Traffic Control Officers to effect coordination involving the transfers of flights with adjacent Air Traffic Control Centres; verify the height of tall shipping vessels transiting north of Changi Airport, and assist with Search and Rescue exercises and actual incidents/accidents.

Note: Air Traffic Control Support Officers are typically stationed in the Singapore Air Traffic Control Center (SATCC) which is located at 60 Biggin Hill Road, Singapore 509950 (near Changi Village)

As a Ramp Control Officer, your role includes issuing instructions, clearances, advice and information to aircraft on the ground in the relevant apron areas within the Ramp Control area of responsibility, for the purpose of maintaining a safe, orderly and expeditious flow of air traffic. You will also control all movements of aircraft, vehicles and persons authorised to be on the relevant apron areas within the Ramp Control area of responsibility.

Note: Ramp Control Officers are typically stationed at the apron areas within Changi Airport Terminal 4
