- Job Summary_

Barings’ is seeking an Asia Pacific (APAC) Business Information Security Officer (BISO) to join its Global Technology & Data (GTD) function. The mission of this role is to provide a local APAC (Singapore/Hong Kong/Australia/South Korea/Taiwan & China) representative for Information Security & the wider Information Technology teams.

The primary goal of the role is to ensure that regional Information Security requirements are being met by the global technology teams, to represent Information Security for local offices & clients, and to act as a point of contact across the region and as a conduit into the centralized security teams - Security Architecture, CyberGRC, Threat Ops & Data Protection - & IT teams operating out of the United States and Europe with limited presence in region.

You will act as the regional lead for the wider GTD teams (Infrastructure & Operations, Software Engineering, Data Management & Technology Product Management) to ensure that APAC specific needs are being addressed.
- Primary Responsibilities_
- Working closely with global Information Security & IT teams, and regional Risk, Compliance & Legal teams to provide a tailored view of IT & Cyber risk for APAC legal entities.
- Lead security responses for regional regulatory inspections, annual certifications, and ad-hoc audits.
- Supporting LLC level IT & Cyber security risk assessment processes and help prepare updates for APAC entity committees and boards.
- Evaluating Barings security controls against regional requirements and obligations.
- Supporting our global security certification process e.g. SOC1, ISO27001.
- Assisting with other Information Security and Technology risk related activities as needs arise.
- Qualifications_
- Significant Information Security and/or Technology risk management experience.
- Demonstrable understanding of the APAC Financial Services regulatory landscape and requirements; prior experience of working with regulators is an advantage.
- Relevant Information Security Certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CRISC)
- Experience of building relationships in an international organization.
- Ability to get results through collaboration and partnership with diverse teams.
- Ability to work independently & leverage capabilities from remote team members.
