Our client is a global provider of professional project and asset services in the energy, chemicals, and resources sectors.

**About the role**:
The Contracts SME is responsible for preparing, negotiating, recording and administrating project contracts. He/She shall be knowledgeable about details and potential benefits of any contract, and must fulfil the following duties and responsibilities:

- Craft, evaluate, negotiate and execute a wide variety of different contracts covering a range of transactions.
- Create and maintain relationships with contractors and serve as the singular point of contact for matters concerning contracts.
- Maintain records for correspondence and documentation in relation to established contracts and those in progress.
- Communicate and present information to stakeholders and client about all contract-related matters.
- Monitor contracts and move forward with close-out, extension or renewal according to what’s best for the Project.
- Solve any contract-related problems that may arise with other parties and internally with Client.

Contract SME have to excel when it comes to negotiation, communication and documentation, so the following skills are absolutely necessary for the position:

- Communication: able to communicate ideas effectively to keep Project and Client apprised of contract-related matters.
- Negotiation: Good tactic and negotiation skill
- Confidence: strong attitude to successfully negotiate and execute contracts, as well as an understanding of when to walk away and when to stand one’s ground. Good interpersonal and presentation skills
- Finance Skills: have the necessary financial skills to determine exactly how the Project would benefit. Technical/Functional Responsibilities:

- Develops Contractor List
- Develops Supply Management Contracts Plan
- Review Non-Disclosure Agreements deviations and liaise with Client for acceptance
- Implement progress measurement on productivity and work done
- Ensure Contracting good practices and governance are in place at all times
- Ensures proper filing of enquiries, purchase orders, correspondence with vendors and related documents
- Negotiates best price and conditions.
- Interacts with other departments, disciplines and clients
- Issue/Maintain procurement status report
- Handles claims and back charges
- Mentoring the team
- Lead Contracts for large sized projects

**About you**:

- Engineering Degree with at least 20 years’ experience in contract management of major projects.
- Refinery experience
- Module construction, transport and installation experience
- Brownfield / working in live hydrocarbon plant experience
- SEA experience and/or experience with SEA contractors
- Integrated team experience beneficial
- Knowledge of multidisciplinary contracts
- Good knowledge in claim management
- Good in communication and Interactive
- Proactive and result oriented
