**Senior Data Engineer**
Join Symrise as a Senior Data Engineer in Singapore and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our data landscape. You'll be instrumental in building a modern, scalable data platform on Azure Databricks, with strong support from our executive leadership. **The Position**:

- Collaborate with diverse teams, including data scientists, analysts, product owners, and business stakeholders, to gather requirements, define roadmaps, and deliver impactful data solutions
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality by implementing data quality controls and monitoring mechanisms
- Contribute to the development of our Unified Cross-Functional Data Assets, working with key domains like Consumer, Samples, Research & Technology, Innovation, Procurement, and Sustainability
- Actively participate in the full software development lifecycle, from ideation and user story prioritization to deployment and operation

**What You Bring to the Team**:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, data science, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on skills in Azure Databricks, Python and SQL, with proven experience in developing ETL pipelines, data models, and optimizing Apache Spark workloads. A solid understanding of concepts like shuffle, spill, and broadcast joins is highly desirable
- A curious, analytical, and proactive approach to problem-solving, with a strong desire to grow into a senior engineering role and contribute to cutting-edge projects
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to thrive in cross-functional environments and work effectively with both local and global teams
- A passion for staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data engineering, DataOps and automated testing

**Nice to Have**:

- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Familiarity with SAP data integration and environments
- Data modelling expertise using methodologies like Kimball or Data Vault 2.0
