Prime Video is fast becoming one of the major global players in digital entertainment. We are changing the way millions of customers enjoy movies and TV shows through Amazon Prime, new releases for rent or purchase and subscriptions through Channels. Prime Video Channels enables customers to add a wide range of on-demand streaming services (e.g. HBO & Showtime in US and Euro sport & Discovery in UK) and live TV channels to their Prime Video catalogue. Prime Video Channels are available as individual subscriptions with no extra apps to download, no need to buy a big channel bundle and anytime cancellation. All Prime Video Channels are available via the existing Prime Video app: customers enjoy the same user experience, one-click to subscribe and play, and anytime, anywhere access, offering an easy and straightforward way to choose the TV entertainment you want.
Key job responsibilities
The Senior Vendor Manager is the primary interface between the Partner and internal Amazon teams across WW Content Ops, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Business Intelligence and Launch teams. They will work very closely with the Content Acquisition Managers (CAM) to communicate deal information to downstream teams. At steady state, the Senior Vendor Manager will own the working relationship with Partners and ensure internal Amazon teams have all the information and assets required to deliver campaigns and content to our customers.
The Senior Vendor Manager will manage the contracts/deals via the tools and dashboards available. They will identify opportunities to improve the processes wherever possible by benchmarking with other locales and implement the best practices in Southeast Asia (SEA). In addition to continuously driving and improving execution, the Senior Vendor Manger will work closely with cross-functional counterparts in content acquisition, product management, and operations teams to ensure that systems are supporting the broader growth, launching new features, developing and growing business opportunities, and enhancing our internal customer experience.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Working closely with CAMs, ensuring internal teams have all the information and assets required for launch partner services, managing promotions & discounts and delivering content to customers.
- Aligning with partners on business goals and content priorities.
- Building working relationships with partners to ensure content parity and deliver on pricing strategies and promotional campaigns.
- Communicating key metrics to partners, helping them interpret customer behaviour data and business metrics.
- Coordinating cross-functionally with Amazon teams ensuring any blockers to content ingestion and marketing campaigns are removed quickly.
- Identifying opportunities to standardize processes by benchmarking with Global Teams and automating manual workflows to improve efficiency.
- Experience and understanding of digital media and/or digital video supply chain
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally to deliver online products/services
