Global Retail Markets: Product Economics is looking for an Senior / Actuarial Analyst to join the East Profit Insights team. This role is primarily responsible for producing actuarial rate indications and related work to support the financial health of our East Motor / non-Motor markets - India, China, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam, and Singapore.

This is a unique opportunity to influence the strategic direction of markets and be exposed to a wide variety of markets, products, and perspectives. You will lead research and development of actuarial methods to provide actionable insights on new and growing lines of business.

**Responsibilities**:
Profitability Analysis, Monitoring and Financial Planning
- Produce actuarial indication analysis for Motor / non-Motor lines in the East region and communicate results effectively to global and market leadership.
- Conduct deep dives on all levers affecting profitability including loss and premium trend, rate levels, large losses, catastrophe load, and expenses.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on pricing launches to ensure base rates are align with the latest indications analysis.
- Partner with our product leaders, market teams and regional teams to forecast our ability to deliver target returns and drive course correction efforts when necessary.
- Proactively make actionable recommendations to stakeholders on questions, projects, and initiatives in support of profitable growth.
- Provide expert analysis and partner with market team to evaluate baseline loss ratio and trends for planning inputs and improve the overall confidence in our financial plan.
- Research industry results and competitors' pricing strategies and methodologies when necessary to support analysis.

Advance the Methodology, Tools and Processes
- Continually improve profitability assessments to ensure processes, methodologies, and templates produce reliable results efficiently.
- Build consistent and holistic dashboards to ensure constant visibility into the performance of our products and ability to take the right actions to improve our performance.
- Support the advancing of our data and analytic capabilities across our markets, including partnering with the Data Office and regional & local analytic teams.
- Communicate, educate, and train local markets on new methodologies and best global practices.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree required. Insurance designations desirable - ex. ACAS/FCAS.
- Minimum 2-4 years relevant experience preferred.
- Passing grade on multiple actuarial exams preferred.
- Prior experience and knowledge of basic actuarial techniques and standards and insurance operations.
- Solid oral and written and presentation communication skills.
- Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Ability to balance multiple projects with some direction.
- Intermediate MS Office Excel and database programming skills.
