Storage Admin

Storage performance analysis and troubleshooting as well as storage capacity management and planning
- Veritas Netbackup Administration
- Responsible for building backup policies, creating backup schedules and monitoring of backup progress.
- Responsible for working with clients to determine backup needs and troubleshooting.
- Configuration and administration of Brocade Fibre Channel Storage Area Networks (SAN).
- Configuration and administration of iSCSI IP Storage Area Networks (SAN).
- Configuration and administration of Hitachi Enterprise and Mid-range storage subsystems.
- Configuration and administration of NetApp Network Attached Storage (NAS) appliances.
- Configuration and administration of DellEMC Enterprise and Mid-range storage subsystems.
- Implementing data replication processes per Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP).
- Monitoring and reporting of all storage management processes.

**Requirements**:

- A strong background with backup systems, both hardware and software is required. Experience in Veritas Netbackup,Networker and commvault sofwares
- Good experience with provisioning, troubleshooting, and administering EMC storage hardware including Symmetrix,DELLEMC,VMAX, VNX, Unity and Hitachi storages
- Familiarity with SAN-based and IP-based backup solutions. knowledge in operating systems, subsystems, and Veritas Vendor products (Netbackup).
- Experience with Veritas NetBackup in a large multi-platform environment including NBU 7.x, SSO, Master/media server and client configurations.
- Experience installing, configuring, supporting and maintaining enterprise backups in a large heterogeneous data center environment.
- Experience supporting high volume production support environment.
- Experience configuring fiber-based tape and disk environments consisting of IBM tape libraries and tape devices, EMC Data Domains, SUN/STK tape devices as well as Cisco/McData/Brocade switch/director infrastructure and EMC/Netapp/Hitachi storage subsystems.
- Good understanding of networking protocols
- Experience with support, troubleshooting and problem resolution for tape backup and SAN environments.
- Experience with Tape Storage Capacity Planning.
- Experience with backup and DR recovery technologies and techniques encompassing architecture, design implementation and support functions.
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical recommendations on backup architecture.
- Strong knowledge in backup/recovery administration/design responsibilities in an enterprise environment. Linux, UNIX (Solaris/AIX) and Windows experience is a plus.
- Experience with Fiber Channel attached SAN storage, ISCSI, and Network Attached Storage solutions a plus.
- Experience with Enterprise level backup and recovery software such as Veritas Netbackup,acronics,Networker and commvault sofwares
