**Position**:QC Chemist/QC Specialist

You will be a member of Kemin’s dedicated and highly effective Quality Control (QC) team. Your knowledge of quality control, good manufacturing and laboratory practices will be helpful to support our quality programs. Your contribution to analytical testing, equipment calibration and maintenance, thorough investigations, certification of products and continuous improvements will help Kemin provide quality and safe ingredients to our customers in the animal nutrition and health industry.

With efficient quality control checks, analytical testing and instrumentation management, you will help meet accurate specifications for qualifications, certification, data interpretation and provide the relevant data for decision-making. You will also be relied on for monitoring quality of our raw materials, production samples, maintaining laboratory instruments and implementation of innovative solutions.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform routine quality control checks involving analytical lab testing, evaluation, interpretation and reporting of technical data.
- Conduct lab method validation, method transfers, protocol harmonization and optimization of analysis in order to qualify new raw materials and new products from R&D stage all the way to commercialization and production phase.
- Support technical requirements and enquiries from customers.
- Conduct timely analytical instrument calibration and preventive maintenance for the QC lab.
- Ensure real time documentation, maintain data integrity and appropriate traceability system as per Kemin’s quality management system.
- Work with all other functional teams (eg. R&D, Production/Operations/Purchasing/Logistics, Marketing, and Sales) to solve issues and contribute to the overall success of Kemin.
- Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance to ISO17025, ISO9001 and FAMI-QS requirements.
- Implement process monitoring using Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques.

Qualifications:
**Qualification**:Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Science and/or other relevant technical qualifications and working experience.

**Experience**:At least five (5) years of working experience in a laboratory. Ability to develop new and improve analytical methods

- Able to work on shifts schedules.
- There will be two working shifts for our QC laboratory.
- Experience using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometer (GC-MS), Fourier Transform Near-infrared spectroscopy (FT-NIR) and knowledge of ISO17025, ISO9001, GMP and FAMI-QS would be an added advantage.
