**Role**: Release Train Engineer - Chief Scrum Master
**Job responsibilities**:
- Manage and optimize the flow of value through the ART using various tools, such as the Program Kanban and other information radiators
- Establish and communicate the annual calendars for Iterations and Program Increments (PIs)
- Facilitate PI Planning readiness ensuring that Vision, Roadmaps and Backlogs are created and maintained though Pre
- and Post-PI Planning events
- Facilitate PI planning events.
- Summarize Team PI Objectives into Program PI Objectives and publish them for visibility and transparency.
- Assist in tracking the execution of features and capabilities throughout the PI
- Facilitate all ART recurring events.
- Assist with economic decision-making by facilitating feature and capability estimation by teams and the roll-up to Epics.
- Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets
- Help manage risks and dependencies
- Escalate and track impediments
- Encourage collaboration between teams and System and Solution Architects/Engineering
- Work with Product and Solution Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment.
- Help drive innovation and continuous improvement
- Understand and operate within budgets and ensure adherence to Guardrails
- Facilitate System Demos
- Drive relentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops; assess the agility level of the ART and help them improve
- Foster Communities of Practice and the use of engineering and Built-In Quality practices
- Define and collect ART execution metrics.
- Collaborate with other RTEs and Transformation coaches to improve Agile Ways of Working within client
**Knowledge and experience**:
- Extensive experience in Agile delivery as a Senior Scrum Master, Iteration Manager, Delivery Lead or RTE.
- SAFe Certification (mandatory).
- Have extensive theoretical and practical experience utilizing various Agile Methodologies including SAFe, Scrum and Kanban.
- Have strong verbal, communication and facilitation skills.
- Energetic, can-do attitude and experience delivering desirable outcomes in fast pace and complex environments.
- Display a growth mindset, passion for learning, collaborating with others and sharing knowledge
- Able to build meaningful working relationships across teams and with stakeholders at all levels.
- Foster a culture of respect, inclusion, safety, and high trust.
**Highly Desirable skills/specialties**:
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business or another related field will be highly regarded, as will formal qualifications in project management methodology such as PMBOK, PMP, and/or Agile certification(s) beyond SAFe
