Legal Counsel

As the Legal Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in supporting SCI's growth and protecting our legal interests. Your valuable expertise will contribute towards overseeing and facilitating the negotiation and administration of management, operating, and other contractual agreements and managing and resolving any related legal matters. This position will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and will be based in Singapore.
- Supervise and handle corporate legal affairs to provide accurate and timely legal counsel to executives in various legal matters (labor law, partnerships, international ventures, corporate finance, etc.)
- Coordinate and collaborate with management to devise effective legal strategies for the organisational management and growth
- Support in the implementation of policies, procedures, and best practices by gaining a thorough understanding and compliance with internal practices
- Establish internal governance policies and conduct regular monitor compliance
- Draft, review, negotiate and advise the management and department on effective risk management techniques and offer advice on possible legal issues
- Draft and solidify agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to ensure the company’s full legal rights
- Ensure that legal agreements and establishments are adherence to the company’s policies, standards and prevent any form of deviations
- Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations
- Represent the company to communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authorities)
- Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to everyone in the organisation
- Maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation
Job Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Law or equivalent from a reputable university
- Minimum 3 years of working experience as an internal legal counsel in corporate and commercial law
- Admitted to Practice in one or more jurisdictions
- ECommerce or FMCG industry-related legal experience will be advantageous
- Corporate secretarial knowledge and experience will be an advantage

**Salary**: $5,000.00 - $8,000.00 per month
