**Responsibilities
Plan a program that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students. This will include effective weekly and daily teaching plans that provide each student the opportunity to learn, allowing adequate time to cover all content satisfactorily, and focuses on central learning skills whilst emphasizing basic skill acquisition.
- Create an environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the level and interests of students.
- Respond to the learning needs/styles of all students. Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students. Maintain accurate and complete written records of students' progress and development.
- Guide the learning process toward achieving realistic curriculum goals and establish clear objectives for all lessons that are communicated to the students and parents.
- Employ instructional methods and obtain a variety of materials and resources for use in Science and PE classes that are most appropriate for meeting curriculum objectives and student benchmarks.
- Plan and supervise purposeful and appropriate assignments and projects for all students.
- Participate in extra-curricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities, clubs and student organizations where appropriate or deemed necessary by the Principal.
- Participate in daily duties (i.e., breakfast, lunch, dismissal) to support school operations as and when required.
- Participate in parent meetings, conferences, and periodic evening events.
- Work cooperatively and effectively within the team and with students, parents and other stakeholders.
- Suggest, lead and participate in team service development and improvement activities.
- Develop knowledge and expertise within the team and by engaging in and conducting professional development activities.
- Attend staff, department, and school meetings and serve on staff committees as requested/required.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Teaching/Education/Science and PE. An advanced degree and/or post-graduate degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience; experience teaching in international schools is a plus.
- Experience working with students with learning differences is highly desirable.
- Teaching qualifications including PGDE/PGCE or a formal teaching license in a particular jurisdiction (e.g., country).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Teams, Outlook, Google Classroom and ability to use digital resources and educational technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team with staff members, students, and parents.
