About the Team

EDB’s Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) team spearheads EDB’s efforts in brand management, digital marketing, content/social media marketing and events and partnerships to establish Singapore as a trusted location for international investments.

We seek a highly motivated Web Strategist to join EDB, a government agency under the Ministry of Trade and Industry, responsible for investment promotion and industry development to create sustainable economic growth and good job opportunities for Singapore. As a Web expert, you will help shape the EDB’s website strategy to develop innovative, impactful online experiences that enhance Singapore’s position as a global business hub for innovation and talent and scale inbound inquiries and conversions.

[What you will be working on]
- **Leading web strategy**: based on your research and analysis, you will develop a comprehensive plan (including web competitor analysis, information architecture, personalization, engagement, and more) to increase web traffic, drive conversions and optimize for an improved visitor experience by balancing data, technology, design, and customer needs.
- **User experience (UX) and design**: Ensuring that the website is easy to navigate, visually appealing, and accessible to all kinds of users.
- **Website performance**:you will work alongside web Analytics to leverage digital metrics (site traffic, visitor paths, conversion rates, etc.) to design/test results. Determine and communicate areas for improvement and next steps to stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- **Agency Management**: you will manage the external agencies to ensure that the website functions efficiently, including web testing, troubleshooting website issues, and pursuing best practices in website maintenance and optimization.
- **Project Management**: Overseeing website development projects and ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- **Set up web governance**: define and drive a process for ongoing website audits, content refresh, and removing outdated content and drives governance best practices across EN, JP, and CN sites.
- **Collaborating with other functions and departments**: You will be a strategic partner and consensus builder with other teams, helping them translate business requirements into customer-centric web experiences.
- **Security & compliance**: Ensuring the website is secure and compliant with relevant laws and regulations, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

[What we are looking for]
- 5+ years of experience with the technical aspects of running a B2B website, including analytics, UX, and content management system with a proven track record of driving conversions.
- Working knowledge of website standards and best practices.
- Project management experience, with the ability to work through ambiguity and manage competing priorities.
- Effectively communicate web strategy and technical details across teams, locations, and organizations, including non-technical audiences
- Experience in information design.
- Basic understanding of SEO and web analytics (Adobe Analytics)
- Be flexible and adaptable in managing your time and schedule in a rapidly changing environment.
- Strong understanding of the processes for User Experience, Website Design, and Website Development
